FAQ

Please note that A2S products are manufactured for research purposes only. Our products are not intended for human or animal use.

For now, it is not possible to place an order on our website. Please use it to place a request on the “custom request” page and we, or your local distributor, will send you an offer within hours.

We require a purchase order, which includes a purchase order number, shipping and billing addresses and method of shipment preferred. Credit card orders are still not accepted.

In this case our team and your local distributor are here to help you! Send your request using the page “custom request” and an answer will be sent back to you within hours.

As soon as we receive your order, a return receipt will be sent to you including all information concerning the products ordered and the expected date of delivery/ shipment.

When you receive your products, you can keep them at room temperature for up to 1 week in the way to use them. In other cases, for over 1 week, consider the storage information given on the certificate of analysis. Then before use get them out of cold room and place them in a dry area during several hours.

The shipping costs depend on several different parameters: the shipping address, the size of the package, the nature of the products (dangerous goods…) and the shipping method (truck, plane, boat). For more information please contact us.

A2S supply “controlled” products like API’s or some specific Toxins. If you want to order some of these products please contact us as different documents are required for Customs; we will organize everything and help you to obtain the right papers. It’s important to note that it can take several months to obtain all the necessary documents.

For a neat material, storage or transportation at lower temperatures is not normally a problem, unless the melting point is between the actual storage temperature and ambient temperature.  In these cases the substance may freeze on storage. The substance must be allowed to melt before use.

For solutions (singles or mixtures), we do not recommend storage at temperatures lower than those specified on the Certificate of Analysis, as substances may precipitate and in some cases be difficult to re-dissolve.

Products which have a long term recommended storage temperature of 2 to 8°C and -10 to -20°C are normally shipped at ambient temperature as they are stable at room temperature for short periods of time (approx. 2 weeks of transportation), unless otherwise specified. This is based on what our chemists have observed while working with these products. Lower temperatures are typically assigned for long-term storage in order to maximize shelf life. Products that are unstable and/or have a recommended storage temperature of -86°C are shipped on dry ice in order to preserve product quality.

Expiry dates are valid for an unopened originally sealed container and are lot specific. The storage conditions given on the Certificate of Analysis are mandatory for the expiry date to be valid. Expiry dates for lot / batches are never reviewed or extended.

The recommended storage conditions for an opened container are the same as those for an unopened container. Please take care that the lid for opened bottles are closed tightly after use.  If the product was supplied in an ampoule, the contents should be transferred to a suitable storage vial / bottle with a lid for storage.  Check the Certificate of Analysis for additional information provided (e.g. store under suitable inert gas) as this will affect the stability of the product. No expiry date after opening is purpose.

Offering a FREE exact mass is an original decision of the A2S management team in order to give you a remarkably useful tool to be able to prepare your solutions directly and quickly. Ordering an A2S, n’TOX or PharmA2S neat in SMALL WEIGHT with and EXACT MASS permits our customers to decrease the number of products in their stock, to immediately prepare their solutions and to always use recently-controlled raw materials. An easy and cheap solution for our customers!

All A2S, n’TOX and PharmA2S products are supplied with a certificate of analysis which conforms to the ISO 17025 Guide 31 rules, including uncertainties and traceabilities information.

For our Reference Materials example chromatograms or spectrums are provided where possible, as part of the certificate of analysis. These are provided for information only.  Certificates of Analysis are not provided to demonstrate the purity of the product. In some cases it may not be possible to provide a chromatogram or spectrum due to the analytical technique used or specific detectors being unavailable in-house.

For any technical problem like solubility or stability don’t hesitate to contact us - we will try to help you using our Laboratory experience.

Most products have been assigned a purity that is estimated based on 1H NMR, HPLC-DAD, GC-FID, GC-MS (+/-1%). Our purities are given on a dry basis and do not include trace water or solvent. For the purity of an individual product please consult the batch-specific reference on the certificate of analysis. Please note that some products are not suitable for HPLC testing.

The chemical purity of technical grade products is estimated to be between 35 to 70%. Reasons why a product may be assigned technical grade status include: lack of stability, the purity is unquantifiable based on the analysis performed, or the purification process is difficult.

SUGGESTED ALTERNATIVE:

Technical grade means the product may lack stability, or its purity is unquantifiable based on the analysis performed, or the purification process is difficult. The chemical purity of technical grade products is estimated to be between 35 to 70%.

Additives, salts and the water content on the Certificate of Analysis of your neat material is provided for information only. For our solution (singles and mixtures) we consider the molecular weight ofthese additives when calculating the final concentration value provided. The concentration notified on the certificate of analysis is the concentration on native product.

When you look at the ampule you can see a white dot on it. Place this dot in front of you using one hand and push over the top of the ampule with your other hand. The top of the ampule will then come off very easily.

A2S use a quality management system certified according to ISO 9001 and methodology accredited to ISO 17034 in order to manufacture all our products. Using accredited procedures, measurements of weight, volume and temperature are used to demonstrate traceability back to IS unit.

Our Reference Materials (RM) are supplied with associated uncertainties and traceabilities obtained using valid reference measurement procedures.

An increasing range of products also are produced under our ISO 17034 scope of accreditation (www.cofrac.fr Scope 1-6378).  For our Certified Reference Materials (CRM) it’s the same as with RM (uncertainties and traceabilities) with additional studies such as stabilities, calibration curve.

We have significant background information on the stability of many of the substances in the range.

Real time stability studies are undertaken on our products using our internal routine data analysis made prior to producing the standards.

Stability is assessed under the long-term storage conditions that are described on the certificate. In addition, short term storage conditions are also assessed.

For CRM, long term stability studies (corresponding to the expiry date) are undertaken and collected as the ISO 170 requires.
